Update: GoonMod has been fixed and updated, so you don’t need to do this anymore.

Update 105.2 got released for PAYDAY 2 earlier, and it broke GoonMod a little bit. I’m going to release a fix for it, but right now my local copy of Payday is broken and needs to be reinstalled. So this is how to fix it, so you can keep using GoonMod with update 105.2.

  • Open GoonMod/lua/NarrativeTweakData.lua in a decent text editor. Notepad that comes with Windows will not do. You need to use something along the lines of Sublime Text or Notepad++.

  • Replace this section from the top of the file:

    1
    2
    3
    4
    function NarrativeTweakData.init(self)
    self.orig.init(self)
    Hooks:Call("NarrativeTweakDataInit", self)
    end
  • with this:

    1
    2
    3
    4
    function NarrativeTweakData.init(self, ...)
    self.orig.init(self, ...)
    Hooks:Call("NarrativeTweakDataInit", self, ...)
    end
  • Save the file, you’re done.

And that’ll get your local version of GoonMod working again until I can fix it and put an update out. Also, I’m working on a big update for the BLT, but that’s a fair way off until I can get a second computer monitor to work with again.
